Commercial properties have a problem most owners don't think about until it's too late - the outside of the building is the first thing clients and employees see. Overgrown beds, bare dirt, or patchy grass sends a message you probably don't want to send. A clean, well-kept exterior says something different entirely.

Here's what we were working with on this one: an admin building that needed a landscaping setup that could hold its own without constant upkeep. We went with river rock as the primary ground cover along the building's foundation. It's a smart choice for commercial spaces - no watering, no mowing, and it stays looking neat season after season.

We mixed in freshly planted shrubs spaced evenly along the front of the building, crisp edging to keep everything contained, and gray trap boulders near the entrance to add some visual weight. The combination gives the space a finished, intentional look. Nothing overdone. Just clean and professional.

That's really the goal with commercial landscaping - build something that looks good on day one and keeps looking good without a crew out there every week. River rock, good plants, and clean lines go a long way toward making that happen. And when the landscaping wraps around a well-kept sidewalk and parking area, the whole property comes together.

Low-maintenance doesn't mean low-quality. It just means making smarter choices upfront so the property holds its value and keeps making a good impression without constant attention.
